An eclipse almost one year later on February 21, 2008 with the moon in the West instead of the East. The weather was poorer in 2008 and the shot had to be taken through the clouds.
Both images captured with a William Optics SD66Z, focal reducer and a Canon EOS 350 DSLR. Unguided, mounted on a photographic tripod. The image at the top is a half second exposure whereas the second was a one second exposure because the weather conditions were worse and the cloud was patchy. The March 07 eclipse occured in the evening and the February 08 eclipse in the early hours of the evening so the Moon was rising in the first and setting in the second.
